What's in a Name?

"Sul Tasto" is a musical term which can be translated as "on the touch". This dynamic direction is written in sheet music to communicate that the musician should play in a manner that produces a warmer, more gentle sound for the indicated section of the piece. And being touched by the Spirit, this is how we want to touch others. We hope to create a thoughtful, hospitable, harmonious home where kids visit and learn, potentially over years.

Just as in music, we realize there is a time to be dynamic! There is a time to be louder, sillier, more still... ​ We believe that fine arts, performance arts, and written/spoken language are important aspects of every culture. Our love of language (artistic, domestic, and foreign) extends to trying to speak in different love languages. ​ Syncopation: displacing the beats or accents in musical rhythm so that strong beats become weak and vice versa. We want to emphasize encouragement in your child's life in unique places. By provoking curious approaches to life and providing compassion and help for the hard parts of it, we anticipate many wonder-filled seasons and milestones.
