Sul Tasto
Cultivating Creativity, Kindergarten to College
What TO do. Not what not to do.
Fun brings focus. What we focus upon dictates most of our growth. Let's focus upon what TO do primarily, rather than what not to do. Let's take part in new things, and release our curiosity about one another's existing strengths. Let's expand our children's worlds with them, and plan the release parties, bringing innate gifts.
While gifts can be hardwired, a drive to increase skills can always surpass even this. Let's get excited to complement others' strengths and learn about the notes in music, as well as the rests. Let's assist each other when help is needed. If the old tortoise and hare race went our way, the hare would have pulled the tortoise in a wagon causing the hare to slow down. The tortoise could narrate the scenic route and cause the hare to see his home with new detail and dimension. They both win, and nobody boasts over virtuosity or brawn.
